Postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate appointees (subject to availability of grant funds and Teaching Assistantships) will have the opportunity to work independently and also to collaborate with and obtain assistance from an eight-member team.  Fifteen of the 45 faculty members in the department are in the Cell and Molecular Biology division. The Bilimoria Laboratory is fully equipped for the proposed research. The PI/PD is a member of the Institute for Biotechnology & Plant Genomics, which has about 50 members and operates two Core Facilities with highly advanced instrumentation for molecular biological work. A full-time Ph.D. staff member and several full time graduate technicians manage these facilities.
